A large oil painting by Italian artist Raffaello Sorbi is one of the star pictures lots in the Charterhouse two day auction of pictures, books, sporting items, antiques and interiors on 20th & 21st April in Sherborne “It is a beautifully executed oil painting depicting the mortally wounded Corso Donati being transported by the monks of San Salvi to their Abbey.
The Charterhouse two day auction on 20th and 21st April of 1,100 lots includes the library of books from the late Dr McDonald Critchley CBE and pictures from the private collection of Dr Mohammed Said Farsi.
