A bottle of Bowmore whisky is estimated to sell for £2,000 in the Charterhouse specialist auction of wine, port and whisky on Wednesday 28th May in Sherborne.

“The market for whisky remains high not only with buyers looking to enjoy a dram but also for collectors looking to add bottles into their cellars and cabinets.” Commented Paul King, head of wine, port and whisky at Charterhouse.

The bottle of 30 year old Bowmore whisky was given to the owner as a present from the Bowmore Distillery. It was just one of twenty five such bottles which were presented by the distillery to distributers attending the First Distributors’ Seminar held at Bowmore Distillery, Islay on 14th September 1993.

Charterhouse are now accepting further entries of wine, port & whisky for this auction.
