A large silver gilt trophy cup, from a client in London, is included in the Charterhouse specialist auction of silver and silver plate on Wednesday 30th July.
“They say size matters and this is certainly a whopping silver gilt trophy cup and cover which was assayed in London in 1920.” Commented Richard Bromell.

This impressive trophy cup was awarded to Sea Crag, winner of the Esher Cup in 1928, a few years after it was made.
Estimated at £2,500, this fine silver gilt trophy cup and cover is entered into the Charterhouse Summer three day auction, with silver on Wednesday 30th July, jewellery & watches on Thursday 31st July and then antiques and interiors on Friday 1st August.
Charterhouse are now accepting further entries for this three day auction of watches, jewellery, silver and antiques.
