A large collection of military badges is being sold by Charterhouse in Sherborne on Thursday 28th November.

“The owner’s husband spent years collecting the badges but sadly passed away.” Commented Richard Bromell. “Usually, we see badge collections in cabinets or in frames, but these were all neatly stored away in a filing cabinet in his office.”

The vendor, who lives on the Devon/Somerset border, took advantage of the home visit service Charterhouse offers clients looking to sell single items, collections and complete house contents.

Estimated to sell for £10,000, the badge collection is entered into the Charterhouse specialist militaria, medal, coin, and stamp auction at their Sherborne salerooms on Thursday 28th November, with a single owner medal collection on Wednesday 27th, followed by toys, collectors’ items, clocks, antiques & interiors on Friday 29th, Christmas luxuries, jewellery, watches and wine on Monday 2nd December and then the contents of a country house wine cellar on Tuesday 3rd.

All the lots for the five days of auctions, viewing times and live internet bidding is available on charterhouse-auction.com
