A collection of hundreds of Beswick animals is being sold by Charterhouse in an auction devoted to Beswick, Royal Doulton and Border Fine Arts on Tuesday 27th January.
“The owner has been collecting Beswick for decades having started as a child.” Commented Richard Bromell. “As an adult she was a keen horse rider but her stables near Winchester have been empty for the past few years and with an imminent house move she contacted us to dispose of the collection.”
In the collection, estimated to sell for tens of thousands of pounds, there is a vast selection of horses, ponies, cats, dogs, birds and cattle along with many other animals.

The owner was also an active member of the Beswick Collectors Club. She regularly attended club meetings where she bought many of the rare figures which are today estimated from £50 to £3,000.
