A large single owner collection of Guinness related advertising memorabilia is being sold by Charterhouse in Sherborne Thursday 25th June.

“The owner, who lives in Somerset, amassed the collection over the past 10 to 15 years and although he is partial to an occasional Guinness, his preferred tipple is a drop of whisky.” Commented Richard Bromell.

There are hundreds of items of Guinness advertising items covering the past 90 years or so. There are John Gilroy zoo animals produced by Carltonware, lamps, buttons, tie pins, mugs, glasses, watches, salt & pepper pots, dishes, bowls, trays, beer mats, mirrors, die-cast model vehicles and many other items, all estimated to sell for thousands of pounds.

The collection has been on display in the owners spare bedroom for years, but with a house mouse on the horizon, the owner asked Charterhouse over to look at, collect, catalogue and auction his beloved collection of Guinness breweriana.

Richard Bromell and the team at Charterhouse, The Long Street Salerooms, Sherborne are available for valuations on single items, collections and complete house contents on 01935 812277 or via rb@charterhouse-auction.com
